Music has a remarkable way of holding our memories: of home, culture, and the stories we carry with us.

In Our Memories, Our Songs, The ROS Singers present a heartfelt programme of folk songs and culturally significant music from Singapore and around the world. Familiar regional melodies such as Lok Sui Tien and Ikan Kekek sit alongside powerful contemporary works, including Jake Runestad’s moving Let My Love Be Heard.

The centrepiece of the evening is the world premiere of the choral song cycle Night Journeys by composer and ROS singer John Lee, a new choral song cycle setting poems by celebrated Singaporean poet Aaron Lee. Through these works, poetry and music come together to explore belonging, home, and the enduring human desire to create beauty.

The concert will also feature a special poetry reading and conversation with Aaron Lee and John Lee, offering audiences a rare opportunity to hear directly from the artists behind the work.

Join us for an evening where music and poetry meet, and where memories find their voice.
